A Family's Dream, Printed One Backdrop at a Time

We are a husband and wife shop in Ludowici, Georgia. Veteran owned, and small enough that the two of us touch every order that leaves the building.

Your backdrop is printed in house on our Mimaki printers, then trimmed clean to size and rolled into a tube so it reaches you flat. Nothing is imported, nothing is drop shipped from overseas, and nothing is handed to a third party we cannot answer for.

Supporting us means supporting a dream and we take that seriously on every single backdrop.

FAQ

What material are your backdrops?

Premium matte vinyl, printed in full color on one smooth side. Matte matters here: a glossy backdrop throws your lighting straight back at the camera. It is tear resistant and wipes clean, so a spill on a food shoot is not the end of the backdrop.

Will it glare under studio lights?

No. The finish is matte, which is the whole reason we print backdrops on this material rather than a gloss vinyl. You can light it hard from the side without a hot spot appearing in frame.

How do I choose my size?

Sizes are width by height in feet. For tabletop product shots and flat lays, 2 x 2 or 2 x 3 is usually plenty. For larger products or a seated subject, go to 3 x 5 or 3 x 6. Pick Vertical or Horizontal to say which way round you want it.

Will it arrive creased?

No, and that is deliberate. Every backdrop ships rolled in a tube rather than folded, because a fold line in a backdrop shows up in every single photo taken against it. Unroll it and let it settle flat for an hour or so before shooting.

How do I hang or set it up?

Most people tape or clip the top edge to a wall, a board or a backdrop stand and let the rest fall. For flat lays, lay it straight on the table. There are no grommets or hems, so the edge is a clean printed cut and you can trim it to fit if you want to.

What file should I send?

Design it at 200 DPI or higher at the final size you want it printed. A backdrop gets photographed up close, not read from across a room, so more detail is worth having here. 300 DPI is ideal on the smaller sizes. PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG, AI and EPS all work.

Do I get to see a proof?

No, and you do not need one. You upload your own artwork and choose the size, so what you set up is what gets printed. We print your file at the size you picked, on premium matte vinyl.

How fast will I get it?

Normally 2 to 3 business days to print and ship. There is no proof step to wait on, so printing starts from your order. Adding Rush processing moves your whole order to the front of the queue.

Can I pick it up instead of shipping?

Yes, local pickup is available at 474 Prince Road SE, Ludowici, GA 31316. Please wait until you receive the ready for pickup email before heading to the shop.

Can you design the backdrop for me?

We can. The upload box is required, so attach a screenshot or a reference picture of what you have in mind, then describe it in Special Instructions. It does not need to be print ready artwork. We will come back with a quote for the design work before anything is charged.
